We are expanding our little family soon and we need your help! In 6 weeks a little guy who looks something like this will be coming to live with us. He was born on January 11th and is a Jack Russell.
Son is of course EXCITED. He keeps asking when the puppy will be coming home.
How can we help, you ask! We cannot think of a good name for him yet. Of course it may have to wait until we actually meet him and see what his personality is. I would like to have your sugggestions of names for him!
My favorite boys name is Son's name and I think it might get a little confusing having 2 kids with the same name in the same house.
Also, since this is the first puppy I will ever have had (I am a cat person!) any tips for potty training would be much appreciated. At this point, I am going to go at it like I did with Son. Have the day care person take care of it! hahahahahaha
I will post pictures as soon as I get them.
I would wait until you see what his personality is like before you name him. Just wait a couple of days.
ReplyDeleteAs for house-training, make sure that you have plenty of newspaper at your door, and take him out regular and often. He'll soon understand that is what the door is for! But feed him, then let him outside, if it is safe. But just keep on taking him for walks regular. I know that it's difficult when getting a dog that you have to keep them away from other dogs until they have had their injections, but time and patience pays off. Jack Russells are good little dogs though!
I can't wait for my new nephew!!!!! And I still like Killer!
ReplyDeleteGet a kennel for him for potty training. It is the only way to go and you won't have to get the carpets and rugs professionally cleaned.
ReplyDeleteAs for a name, I am partial to Jack myself. Trainers always suggest that you not name a dog Beau or any name that rhymes with the word "No", for obvious reasons.
