High Tea

Neicy and I had High Tea one afternoon to celebrate my Birthday.  I've never had High Tea and it was lovely!

We were able to choose our own pot of tea, a type of scone, and three different tea sandwiches.  It might not sound like a lot of food but it IS!  Especially when you have a whole pot of tea!

Our teas and yummy foods.

The place was decorated so cute!  None of the dishes or tea cups matched, which added to the lovely-ness of the experience.

It was a lovely experience and I can't wait to do it again!

  1. I totally agree about the mismatched cups being part of the charm of it all!

  2. So glad you got to go, Amy! Wow, can;t imagine never having a proper Tea. I try to do it everyday, right when I get home. "High Tea" is a bigger affair as it was meant later, almost in place of dinner, so instead of 4:00 pm or so, it would be more like 5:00 or 6:00 even but always involves more than the normal tea time of bisuits/ cookies or toast and of course tea to drink.

  3. I had high tea once when we lived in Germany. One of the other mums from school (who was British)invited me over. It was a lot of fun even though she put milk in my tea and I'm more a of a tea purist.

(sorry if you get this twice, I've been using Feedly as my reader which is all mobile and none of my comments seem to be appearing anywhere! pfft!)
