The Fall Horse Show

Jakes participated in the Fall Horse show this past weekend. And he has improved SO much since the last one.  He's sitting straighter, heels are down even farther each time, and he's asking questions to make sure he understands everything.  I am so proud of him!

The day is started with a prayer for safe rides for everyone.

The day ended with a competition without the horses but that the kids love just as much.  Its called "Down and Out".  They set up a a jump, very low to start, then after everyone clears the bar, they raise it one level.  This continues until everyone has jumped or missed.  The last one standing wins the money.

All in all it was a fun day.  Jakes and I got to hang out with friends and horses.

There were so many fabulous views in Ocean City.  I was fortunate to have my camera with me to capture several of them.  Let's see if I remember where and when I got the pictures.....

I found out that this photo was chosen for FIRST place in my county's local photo contest!

It will be shown at the County fair next week.  It will be used in publicity for the County.
I will be presented with a certificate at the next Freeholders Meeting.
I will get $100!!!!

Strange Things

A couple of weeks ago when ESM and I were picture taking, we found strange things growing on the hillside.  Any idea what they could be?

Picture Day

ESM and I took of a Sunday afternoon to go traipsing around the area looking for good things to take pictures. We had fun and got some good shots!

Did You Know Camera's Multiply?

Who knew camera's can multiply?  I didn't!  But mine did!  I was given a bigger and better (more dials and buttons) camera and I'm in LOVE!

The one on the right is new.

Its a Pentex 14.1 megapixel camera.  There is a problem with the pictures it takes.  There is an unexplained line in the picture.  But that is easily fixed with a couple of clicks in Photoshop. 

The new one has lots of buttons and dials that I have no clue what they do.  I've been sitting with my iPad and the camera in my lap every night after work to learn how to use this beauty.

Thank you my friend for giving me a new addiction!  I've been having so much fun with both cameras!
